Government would interfere if Thilakan's life is under threat

The State Minister for Cultural Affairs, Sri. M A Baby said today that if veteran actor Thilakan's life is under threat, the government would definitely interfere, and see to it that he is safe. The Minister was interacting with the media after distributing the prizes at the Lalithakala Academy. Baby said that Thilakan is one of the greatest actors in Malayalam. He said he hoped that there would be no threat to the actor's life. However, in the present situation, there would definitely be an investigation regarding the anonymous telephone call that Thilakan received a couple of days back. The Minister also said that he hoped the film industry would amiably solve its issues on its own. He added that differences of opinion could very well be resolved with discussions.
