Transport Minister Jose Thettayil has expressed concern

Transport Minister Jose Thettayil has expressed concern at the stand in support of the restriction in vehicular traffic during night along the Gundalpet- Sulthan Bathery stretch of the NH 212 adopted by the Karnataka government when the case came up before the Karnataka High Court on Friday.

He said here that it was against the impression given by Karnataka when an all-party delegation consisting of Ministers, MPs and MLAs from Kerala met the Chief Minister of that State and submitted a memorandum to him on the issue. The Chief Minister too had written to his Karnataka counterpart on the issue.

Bangalore Staff Reporter writes: The Karnataka Forest Department gave a PowerPoint presentation of the Bandipur forest and the alternate roads it had suggested for vehicular traffic after night traffic was banned on two highways passing through the forest, in the High Court on Friday.
