Firoz produced in court, sent to Viyur jail

KOCHI: Shammy Firoz, one of the main accused in the Kozhikode twin blasts cases, was Thursday produced before the CBI special court here by National Investigation Agency.

The CBI court judge, S Vijaykumar, sent him to viyur jail.

Firoz had earlier been remanded to 15 days judicial custody and allowed him to NIA custody for three days.

The accused also filed a petition seeking to make him an approver in the case. The petition will come up before the court on Mar 30.

The NIA had arrested Firoz when he arrived at the Kochi Airport last week from Abu Dhabi.
