Mayor R. Bindu said that five per cent of the City Corporations plan fund would be utilised for distributing various devices to make life easier for the differently-abled. Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) is the implementing agency of the rehabilitation project of the City Corporation.

In all, 72 differently-abled people attended the medical camp.

Service of specialist doctors was made available at the camp to identify the nature of the disablement for which suitable remedies would be worked out.

It's the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services for the differently-abled children. The Managing Director of NIMS Medicity is also the patron of PADS (Parents Association of Disabled Students), which takes care of the education and healthcare needs of the mentally challenged students.
