Over 4.5 lakh students to appear for SSLC exam in Kerala

TPURAM: A total of 4,56,518 students would appear for this years Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination in Kerala scheduled to be held from March 15 to March 27.

All arrangements for the smooth conduct of SSLC examination were completed, Director of Public Instructions Muhammed Haneesh told reporters here Friday.

There would be 2721 centres. Out of this 11 would be gulf countries and nine in Lakshadweep. Centralised valuation camp would begin on April 5 in 41 camps. The results would be announced in the first week of May, he said.

Out of the total students appearing for the examination, 4.50,167 were regular students, whose number was 3541 more than the previous year.

Examinations of higher secondary and Vocational Higher Secondary also would begin on March 15.

In view of the severe heat condition prevailing in the state, students have been permitted to carry bottled water inside the examination halls, Haneesh said.
