SOORYA enters Limca Book with twin awards

TPURAM: Soorya, the leading stage and film society of Kerala, has won twin awards of the Limca Book of World Records�one for the largest Arts Festival and the second for longest Arts Festival.

Sooryas headquarters is in Thruvananthapuram having its chapters in 22 countries, in 5 metros of India and 12 districts in Kerala. Soorya festival is carried out for 111 continuous days.

Earlier Soorya claimed the record of Asia�s Largest Art Festival.

Soorya Krishnamoorthy, founder of Soorya Stage and Film Society, was an engineer at ISRO. He had won the Man of the Year 2003 award. He had also won �KALAIMAMANI Award 2006 from Tamil Nadu Government for Stage Craft and Direction. He was the first one to receive the Award from outside Tamil Nadu.
