Cochin Port was moving towards progress: Ramachandran

KOCHI: Cochin Port Trust Chairman N Ramachandran Monday said it was a good feeling that the port was moving towards progress and good times are ahead of us.

Speaking after inaugurating a seminar by Cochin Port staff Association here he said it is a good feeling that we are definitely moving forward and there is no doubt about it. We are moving towards progress and good times are ahead of us.

Cochin Port is moving in the right direction and it is poised for progress and prosperity, he said, adding it had achieved an all time high cargo throughput of 17.43 million tonnes in 2009-10.

Pointing teamwork as the reason for the progress, he said there is a magic in teamwork and that magic has shown by the employees of the port and cited the success of the Volvo Ocean Race, which came to India for the first time
