DYFI to stage statewide agitation on April 12

KANNUR: The state unit of Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) will stage a state-wide agitation on April 12, demanding filling up of vacant posts in view of mass retirement of 21,000 government employees in the state.

Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, DYFI state Secretary T V Rajesh said though the government had extended the period for the existing 225 PSC Rank Lists to April 30, many department heads had not given anticipatory reports to the PSC till this date, causing damage to the goodwill of the government.

Claiming that the LDF Government in the state had given appointment to 42,000 youths in four years, he urged the chief minister to convene an emergency meeting of the departmental heads.

The DYFI would stage the agitation to protest against the failure of the government in taking concrete action for safeguarding the interest of unemployed youths in the state, he added.
