High School teachers would be shifted to Upper Primary

TPURAM: Once the Right to Education Act is implemented many teachers at the government and aided high schools may have to shift to upper primary (UP). This is because the eighth standard is going to be shifted to the upper primary, says the Directorate of Public Instruction Secretary James Varghese Committee report appointed to study on this.

The report would be handed to the government next week. The shift of the high school teachers would be made according to options. The committee will recommend the government to sustain the seniority and salary of the high school teachers who are to be shifted. If teachers are uncompromising on options then juniors would be sent to the upper primary.
