KATTAPPANA: Minister for Electricity A.K. Balan has said that the State will not impose power cut or load-shedding even if the power crisis worsens.
Talking to mediapersons in Thodupuzha on Monday, the Minister said that this could be achieved by enforcing certain controls on power consumption without changing the existing tariff.
Efforts are on to make the State a power-surplus one within ten years by implementing micro hydro electric power projects in a time-bound manner.
The target will be achieved without causing environmental damage, Mr. Balan said.
