KOCHI: Settling scores with Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan, suspended Kannur Range IG Tomin J Thachankary has said that the CM had no power to suspend him by invoking Section 3 of the All India Service(Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1960.
Thachankary raised the charge in the appeal filed before the Central Administrative Tribunal(CAT) against his suspension. He also says in the petition that he was made scapegoat of rival groups of a major party in the LDF. The CMs action was self-evidently actuated by ulterior motives and malafides,�� he alleges.
