Bid to take over KPMS alleged

KOTTAYAM: Punnala Sreekumar, general secretary of the Kerala Pulayar Maha Sabha (KPMS) (who was ousted by the rival faction from the organisation last week) has alleged that the present controversies are the result of a covert attempt to take over the organisation by the Left Democratic Front (LDF) government..

Talking to mediapersons here on Wednesday, Mr. Sreekumar alleged that there were attempts to disrupt the ongoing district conferences with the help of the police and also destroy the organisational strength of the KPMS by appointing receivers. According to him, the meetings in Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta and Thiruvananthapuram were disrupted by the police.
