TPURAM: The central organizing executive committee of the centenary celebrations of Kerala Kaumudi has been formed.
The chief patron of the committee will be Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan. the other patrons are Defence Minister A K Antony and Union Cabinet Minister of Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi.
The co-patrons are Ministers of State Mullappally Ramachandran, E Ahamed and K V Thomas, Ministers C Divakaran, N K Premachandran, Jose Thettayil and Ramachandran Kadannappally, and Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan.
Opposition Leader Oommen Chandy, SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellappally Nadesan and Kerala Kaumudi Editorial Advisor N Ramachandran are also co-patrons.
The chairman of the executive committee is M S Mani, the Editor-in-Chief and Chairman of Kerala Kaumudi. The Joint Managing Director M S Sreenivasan and Director M S Ravi are the vice-chairmen. Kerala Kaumudi Managing Editor Deepu Ravi is the president of the committee. Director (Marketing) Darshan Ravi is the vice-president. Kerala Kaumudi Executive Editor B C Jojo is the general secretary of the committee and the general convenor of all the ad hoc committees that would be formed in connection with the celebrations.
The on-year long centenary celebrations will commence on February 1, 2011.
