e-libraries in all districts soon

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala State Library Council has decided to set up e-libraries in all districts during the current year.

Besides setting up the e-libraries, the council would also institute an annual award for excellence in literature with a purse of Rs.50,000, promote formation of neighbourhood study centres and conduct a survey of libraries in the State. The council has approved its 2010-11 annual budget with an outlay of Rs.36.80 crore to carry out its various ongoing and new projects.
