Rs.157.82 crore for road repairs

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has sanctioned Rs.157.82 crore to the Public Works Department (PWD) for completing urgent road repairs before the monsoon.

A sum of Rs.3 crore has been sanctioned for carrying out the urgent repair works of the National Highway stretches passing through the State.

The Thiruvananthapuram division had been sanctioned Rs.11.14 crore, Kollam Rs.13.32 crore, Alappuzha Rs.8.92 crore, Pathanamthitta Rs.9.32 crore, Kottayam Rs.21.11 crore, Idukki Rs.16.11 crore, Muvattupuzha Rs.8.56 crore, Ernakulam Rs.5.31 crore, Thrissur Rs.11.22 crore, Palakkad Rs.10.30 crore, Malappuram Rs.11.67 crore, Kozhikode Rs.8.41 crore, Vadakara Rs.0.49 crore, Wayanad Rs.4.99 crore, Kannur Rs.11. 04 crore and Kasargod Rs.5.95 crore.
