Drinking water projects worth Rs.6,500 crore on: Minister

Thrissur: Drinking water projects to the tune of Rs.6,500 crore are under way in the State, Minister for Water Resources N.K. Premachandran has said.

He was speaking after inaugurating the supply of water under the Peechi Drinking Water Project at Pananchery, near here, on Friday.

�Drinking water projects will be set up in 30 panchayats at a cost of Rs.1,000 crore in the second phase of Jalanidhi. Many development projects have been implemented under the anti-recession package in the State, the Minister said.
