Kerala daily signs MoU with Abu Dhabi police

Dubai, Jun 14 (PTI) Malayalam daily Siraj has signed an MoU with Abu Dhabi police under which awareness messages from the law enforcement agency, particularly about residency laws, will be sent out to its readers.

The Kerala based Siraj daily, which also brings out an edition in Dubai, has agreed to act as a media conduit with the Indian community in the UAE.

According to a statement released on Sunday, Al Sheikh Abu Bakr Musliyar Kanthapuram, head of Siraj Publishing Group, and Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, director general of the Finance and Services at Abu Dhabi Police were present during the signing of the UAE.

M K M Abbas, editor-incharge of Siraj Malayalam, signed on behalf of the Indian paper.

Badran welcomed the agreement and stressed that the UAE is keen to boost cooperation with India.
