Special package for tourists from Bengal

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala Tourism and the Association of Tourism Trade Organisations (ATTOI) have joined hands to promote an initiative of the Indigo Airlines to promote Kerala as a tourism destination in West Bengal and to bring in more tourists to the State in the coming days.

The move comes in the wake of the introduction of a new flight from Kolkata to Kochi via Bangalore by the low-cost airline Indigo. The ATTOI has decided to organise a road show in Kolkata on July 30 in Kolkata to further popularise the destination and tourism products the State has to offer among the potential travellers and tour operators of West Bengal.

Driving tourist traffic into Kerala will be the key focus of the road show.

The show will consist of Business to Business (B2B) and Business to Client (B2C) meets.

The tour operators and tourism officials from Kerala will interact with the West Bengal tourism fraternity.

We are trying to recreate Kerala under one roof in West Bengal for a day to popularise the destination. A 20-member delegation will be proceeding to Kolkata to participate in the road show and to celebrate the new air connectivity to Kochi, according to ATTOI secretary Anish Kumar
