Talks by distributors, exhibitors fail

KOCHI: The talks held between representatives of the Film Distributors Association and Film Exhibitors Federation, to resolve the differences over the issue of hold over (assessment of collections before shifting a movie from a theatre) percentage, failed here on Monday night.

The distributors wanted to hike the existing hold over percentage of 80 percentage in air-conditioned theatres and 70 percentage in non-AC theatres. The exhibitors refused to accept this demand. Both parties agreed to continue the talks on Tuesday. Vehicle attacked
