BJP seeks NIA probe

KOCHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has sought an inquiry by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) into the assault on T.J. Joseph, Professor, Newman College, Thodupuzha. Haren Pathak, former Union Minister of State for Home, was talking to mediapersons after visiting Professor Joseph with a party delegation.

The Popular Front of India and the NDF, allegedly involved in the incident, should be banned, he said. The Intelligence Bureau report on the incident should be made public and a status report published, he said.

The delegation will submit its report to the BJP president by Tuesday.
