Call to implement Women\'s Bill

KOCHI: Women members in Ernakulam district affiliated to the Kerala Non-Gazetted Officers Union participated in the convention held here on Tuesday, as part of the proposed agitation demanding immediate steps to control inflation and implementation of Womens Reservation Bill.

A release issued by the organisers said that R. Chandra, vice-president of the Tamil Nadu unit of the All India Kisan Sabha, inaugurated the convention at Maharajas College auditorium.

M. Sunitha, member of the NGO Union State committee and K. Thulasi, State joint secretary of the All India Democratic Womens Association spoke. P. B. Jagadeesh, district president of the NGO Union, presided.

The convention demanded that the Centre should correct its policies aiding inflation besides protecting social security programmes in the country
