Ace cameraman Santosh Sivan who has been getting accolades for his brilliant work in Raavanan, is now all set to do a bilingual in Malayalam and Tamil, titled Urumi .

It is a casting coup for Santhosh as he has brought together Indias most valued brand Genelia and the fastest rising star Prithviraj together. Santoshs last directorial ventures in English Beyond the Rains ( 2007)and Tahaan(2008) in Hindi have been critically acclaimed and were also marketing success.

Says Santosh: My next film is Urumi is a period film with Prithviraj and Genelia in the lead while the rest of the cast is being finalised. Urumi is an 8 ft long flexible sword used in Kalari fights, a martial art of Kerala. Sankar Ramakrishnan who had directed the promising short film Island Express in the Kerala Cafe anthology is writing the script. The film is set in 15 century, and is a bilingual and will be made for international audiences.
