Memorial service for air crash victims

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Air India (AI) will organise an all-religion memorial service at Mangalore on July 27 in memory of those who were killed in the crash of Air India Express flight IX-812 on May 22.

The national carrier has requested all family members, friends and well-wishers of the deceased to join in the prayer to be held at Dr. TMA Pai International Convention Hall, M. G. Road, Kodiabail, Mangalore from 10 a.m. to 11.15 a.m.

Secretary, Union Civil Aviation Secretary, M.M. Nambiar and Chairman and Managing Director, Air India, Aravind Jadhav will be present on the occasion.

Air Imdia will make transport arrangements for relatives who are interested in attending the memorial service from Bhatkal, Kasaragod and Udipi.

A press release issued here by the airline said the relatives can contact helpline numbers (Mangalore) 0824-2452306, 2452307 and 2452308 for assistance in this regard.
