Cyber security meet held

KOCHI: The third edition of Cocon, global cyber security and hacking conference that ended here, highlighted the different serious security aspects in present online scene.

Cocon, previously known as Cyber Safe, is the two-day annual international conference organised by the Information Security Research Association along with Matriux Security Community to mark the International Information Security Day. Kochi City Police is hosting the conference.

Delivering the keynote address on the last day, Alok Vijayant, Director, Information Dominance Group, National Technical Research Organisation, said that the cyber threats to the official machinery are on the rise. There had been an increase in attempts to hack into the official government websites. In another presentation, Nirupa Calvin, an investigator associated with Google, explained the present cybercrime trends from Googles perspective
