Dutch envoy visits State

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Consul-General of the Netherlands in India Marijke van Drunenlittle is in the State as part of the Dutch endeavours to strengthen economic relations with all parts of the country.

Addressing an interaction with the business community, organised by InKEL Forum of Excellence in association with the National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM) here on Tuesday, she said the Netherlands had deep experience and technological strength in sectors such as ports, shipping, ship building, food processing, infrastructure, life sciences, health care, education, water management and sanitation.

Kerala had several instances of successful cooperative ventures with the Netherlands and her country looked forward to a further strengthening of relations, she said.

Additional Chief Secretary T. Balakrishnan was the guest of honour at the function. Managing Director of InKEL (Infrastructure Kerala Limited) G.C. Gopalapillai, Chairman of the Public Sector Restructuring and Internal Audit Board John Mathai and Chairman of Thiruvananthapuram chapter of NIPM Joseph Varghese spoke.
